deaf mecca?

Future President of Gallaudet University has been chosen, yet there are many objections from Deaf community (not the entire of D/deaf community, mind you, but "a word spreads around world fast"). I'm not Gally student myself, but glad to be part of the community.

Ok, here's an interesting example (not necessarily good)- In Catholism, who would be "better" Pope after John Paul II? No one can replace John Paul II, but should the bar raises higher? Lately, many people protested about Pope Benedict XVI for what he stands by his words in religious politics. Now this.. JKF and D/deaf community. hmm.

Good thing about USA: democracy. Everyone gotta do something. Eventually - there has to be a middle ground where everyone can be content with a solution. There's just gotta....
