Pray for N'awlins

Hurricane Katrina ultimately crashed & flooded The Big Easy. The atmosphere is very peaceful & easy (completely opposite from the Big Apple). It's famous for their rich heritage, multi-culturalism, and on-going festivals: Jazz Festival, Food Festival, Mardi Gras, and so forth. Imagine that - a party spiritually filled with positive vibe @ the historical landmark area that is over 300 yrs old!

Seeing news updated via 'net & TV, it went from devastated to death to desperate help to fury. First, flood. 2nd, Stranded people who rode thru all the way. 3rd, many deaths or missing, maybe 1,000. 4th, rising looters (even MP had to keep control). 5th, chaos: refugees frustrated with transferring. This is a very difficult tragedy, possibly the worst natural disaster in USA.

I have relatives who lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. Last weekend, my parents from Georgia planned to see our relatives and follow their filipino customary: after 1 yr of mourning, celebrate & honor 1st anniversary of my grandfather's death. Last Saturday, my father contacted me, explaining our relatives joined my father to stay in Georgia. I'm relieved, yet I'm concerned about their homes. I'm glad they're a'right - that's counts the most.

My prayer for people who are in loss, not just in The Big Easy, but all over the world. Hang in there, N'awlins! Few years later, you'll be back on your feet & still rocking more than ever!
