my cousin & i met for lunch.

My cousin, roland, transferred from Tulane (Lousiana) to GWU (DC). My partner and I met him for lunch. We enjoyed having conversation w/ him, and he'll be staying at my place for awhile.. until he find his place.

I sent email to my family for follow-ups:

I saw roland yesterday (tuesday) @ lunchtime. Mel and I met roland at GWU near metro area. He's overwhelmed w/ both home [New Orleans] and DC, but he's adjusting ok. He said he doesn't know DC well except commute from the place he stays to GWU. We went to Bertucci's (italian restaurant). Yum yum. He ordered chicken panini sandwich, mel ordered cheese ravoli, and I ordered sweet italian sausage & penne pasta w/ tomato sauce & green peppers. Tasted great. The seating area was filled with loud noise and a bunch of chatters everywhere. It puts me in very awkward position, and I was bit concerned how would Roland approach in our conversation. Fortunately, he's understanding guy. I barely manage listen to our conversation from here and there, so he writes any question down on paper few times. We chatted about how's things going in LA, GA, FLA with our families. Overall, I'm glad everybody's ok.

At first, he's welcome to stay at my place starting this wednesday, but then he just paged me recently. He plans to come over on Sunday instead.

alrighty then. hope y'all alright too. I think in few days or tomorrow - DC will have tropical storm from hurrican ophelia. yuk yuk yuk.
